Customer Issue This complete Frankfort home overhaul required a total plumbing reset. The original build lacked modern Drain, Waste, and Vent (DWV) design, which meant sluggish drainage, potential siphonage, and no way to support an updated, multi-fixture floor plan safely without bringing the entire home up to current code.

What We Did Our crew gutted the old infrastructure from the ground up. We jackhammered concrete for new subterranean P-traps, opened ceiling joists, and replaced the old network with clean PVC.

Why It Matters A cool part of this rough-in stage was engineering a proper loop-vent design—a smart, code-conscious solution that routes air back into the waste system where traditional vertical roof vents aren’t an option, keeping lines hidden while protecting airflow. Think of a loop vent like blowing air through a straw with a hole in the side—it keeps the vacuum from pulling liquid out of your P-traps. Back when this home was built with that rich redwood lumber, plumbers didn’t have modern venting codes which can lead to dry traps and sewer gas issues over time. Loop vents fix that long-term without ruining architectural layout.
